The free 1.5 upgrade for the HD1000 is available for download from this page. We highly recommend that you download and install it on your Roku HD1000. The latest version of HD1000 Software is 1.5.18. To see if you need to upgrade, look at the top of the main "Setup" screen on your HD1000. You should see something like "Software Version 1.5.11". If you do not have 1.5.18, we recommend you upgrade. 1.5.18 includes many new features as well as bug fixes. A complete list of changes is in the zip file (below).

Version 1.5.18 was released on February 10, 2004.

Instructions for 1.5.18 Software Install

1. Download the zip file (below)
2. Decompress (unzip) the zip file and then copy the uncompressed upgrade file (a single file named update.rok) onto the root directory of any Compact Flash Card. One way to access a Compact Flash card on your PC is by purchasing a low cost USB Compact Flash card reader/writer. NOTE: A Compact Flash card is required for the update. Use of other flash card types is not supported and will not update the software in the HD1000.
3. Insert the Compact Flash card into your Roku HD1000 and then reboot it (by holding down the standby button on the front panel for a few seconds).
4. The unit will upgrade and then reboot. This will take a few minutes. After the HD1000 restarts, you can go to setup to verify the version number has changed. You can now remove the Compact Flash card.

Instructions for 2.0.36 Software Install
Note: Installing this software will overwrite the memory on the PhotoBridge. Any previous software versions, settings, and internally stored media will be overwritten. Please back up any material that you want to keep.
